Based on a chilling chapter from Bram Stoker’s timeless novel, this spine-tingling film tells the harrowing tale of the merchant ship Demeter, entrusted with a secretive cargo of fifty unmarked wooden crates on its journey from Carpathia to London.
As the ill-fated crew navigates the treacherous waters, they find themselves beset by inexplicable and eerie occurrences, haunted relentlessly by an unknown presence aboard the vessel. When the Demeter eventually reaches the shores of England, it is a charred and abandoned wreck, devoid of any trace of its crew.
Starring Corey Hawkins (known for “In the Heights” and “Straight Outta Compton”) as Clemens, a doctor who joins the Demeter crew, alongside Aisling Franciosi (of “Game of Thrones” and “The Nightingale”) as an unwitting stowaway, Liam Cunningham (from “Game of Thrones” and “Clash of the Titans”) as the ship’s captain, and David Dastmalchian (recognized for his roles in “Dune” and the “Ant-Man” franchise) as the Demeter’s first mate.
